The Dressmaking Process
Q: Can I change the design of a ready to wear gown?
A: We are able to make small changes to the design of our gowns, such as adding extra length to the hem, anything more significant we usually recommend having the design custom made.
Most of our gowns come in two lining colors, nude and ivory.
Q: What does ready to wear mean & made to measure mean?
A: All gowns at Jessie Q are made-to-order. Our ready to wear gowns mean that they are made to your closest standard size and alterations are done through either Jessie Q or a third party dress maker.
Couture gowns are all made-to-measure. This means we make a custom pattern that is cut to your exact measurements and anywhere between 4-6 fittings will be involved.
Q: What are your dressmaking lead times?
A: We like a minimum of 3 months for our ready to wear gowns and 6 months for our couture gowns. We are able to work within a shorter time frame however this may incur an additional rush fee.
Q: Do you take online orders?
A: At the moment we do not take online orders, please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in making a purchase. As our gowns are all made to order we may be unable to accept returns.
